We are delighted to offer this beautiful, vintage oil on canvas reproduction of Johannes Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring c. 1665"
Comes complete with original gold Frame and gallery glass, which is in beautiful condition.
This piece has been extremely well cared for through its life.
One of the most recognisable paintings in the world, and often heralded as the Mona Lisa of the North, Vermeer's study of the mysterious girl has endured and inspired for generations.
This faithful reproduction by an unknown artist is certainly by an accomplished and masterful painter. The date of this painting is unknown, however the canvas is it painted on suggests the first half of the 20th Century. This has been looked at by independent auctioneers with whom i have discussed at length its age and possible life.
The only other way to genuinely age this particular piece would be having the paints tested for base metals.
Colours are vibrant and true to the original, as is the size of the work which measures at 47 x 40cm, a fraction bigger then the original piece.
Unless you have a spare £60m+ lying around (not that the original will ever be sold) then this is as close as you will get to hanging this masterpiece in your home.
Please note this item will be delivered by hand by me anywhere in mainland UK to ensure safety.
